Dear Parents and Carers,
At the time of writing, the Nursery children will be going to bed excited about their first ever Sports Day tomorrow! This really will be such a special occasion for the children and their families. I’m sorry I couldn’t be there, however I watched the children practise with such enjoyment, showing so much agility and perseverance.
The Jubilee event on Friday will be colourful, fun and a day to remember. Please ask your children all about the celebrations when they come home from school. Children from Nursery to Year 2 have spent the last few weeks learning about the Queen. You will be surprised at some of the facts they know. They have really increased their knowledge of British History and the Art work related to their learning is outstanding.
We wish you a very happy, restful half-term and thank you for such wonderful support as always.
We look forward to next half- term when we have plans for some children from George White to visit Mousehold to see some end of term musical performances (Samba drumming and ukulele) and a Maths event. And our Nursery children will be visiting the outdoor fairy gardens at GWJS.
There is so much to look forward to.
Annual Parent Survey
Thank you for completing the Annual Parent Survey. The results and a summary of responses will be shared as an attachment to the newsletter. They are also on our website.
The quote from a parent below made our day. It’s our vision at Mousehold to take care of every child, parent, carer and member of staff.
‘A welcoming, tolerant and diverse school with an emphasis on children’s moral compass and emotional health. A very positive and loving atmosphere.’
Thank you to the parent who handed in the lost Apple watch. The parent who the watch belongs to is very grateful and it really does show how kind and honest our community is.
We want to share our story…

Summer Fayre – FRIDAY 24th JUNE
Our school Summer Fayre is on Friday 24th June after school. All are welcome. The Friends of Mousehold Infant and Nursery School are working hard preparing for the event. It is great that we are able to run this again, after a break of 2 years. Lots of money is raised for your children and it is always a lovely atmosphere.
This is after school, every Friday, and is a chance for you to look at your children’s books and to see their classrooms. All are welcome, every Friday.

Sports equipment for schools
Archant newspapers are running a scheme for schools to collect tokens from their local publications that can be redeemed for sports equipment. We have taken part in their previous projects and have received books and gardening items for the children. The tokens can be found in all local newspapers, with extra being printed in each paper during the half-term. The extra tokens will be in the Eastern Daily Press and Norwich Evening News on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th June. There is a box outside the office to put your tokens in. There are additional prizes for the schools that collect the most tokens. Please collect the tokens and help us to get some new sports equipment.
