Dear Parents and Carers,
We come to the end of another busy week at Mousehold. It is remarkable how quickly the children have settled in. We have had a change in weather this week and children have enjoyed the outdoors whatever the weather! Our Capoeira and ukulele lessons have started for Year 1 and our Samba drumming lessons for Year 2.
Parking and traffic outside school:
This is a recurring issue and one that is difficult to resolve. It relies upon everyone showing respect and tolerance for others outside the school gates. We have had a few residents contact school to say their drives have been blocked and they couldn’t get out and this was a worry for them. We have also had incidents where cars are half parked on the verge, blocking the road and getting very close to pedestrians. This is particularly bad on wet days when more families drive to school. Please be very mindful of young children walking, cycling and in pushchairs and be tolerant of other drivers. We really do care about the safety of our children in school as well as out of school. If we all play our part in this we can ensure everyone stays safe and well. Thank you to the majority who are tolerant and respectful.
You may find the following link useful as we head further into the autumn term. Looks like lots of good ideas here!
Thank you to all of you that have signed up to the WEDUC App. We are aware that there have been a few teething issues here so are very grateful for your perseverance. We would encourage everyone to sign up to use the App as a means of communication between school and parents/carers.
For the foreseeable future however, we will not be using the App for meal ordering. Instead, the class teachers will be asking your child at morning registration, what they would like for their lunch. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
Please see below to be informed of our designated safeguarding leads. There will be weekly safeguarding messages on the newsletters.
