Newsletter 18th November 2022

Dear Parents and Carers,

I had the pleasure of spending time in every classroom this week, observing the children learning, looking in their books, the learning environments and talking to the children. I saw an enriched curriculum where every child was enjoying their learning. It really struck me how the children have formed such positive relationships with staff and with each other and are very familiar with the daily routines of school. Our youngest children in Nursery were accessing many sensory experiences such as cutting, mixing water and clay and exploring the willow tunnels in the outdoor learning environment. Our Reception children were role playing traditional tales on their obstacle course outside. Our Year 1 children were confidently playing the ukulele and also enjoying Phonics lessons. Our Year 2 children were Samba drumming and reading with fluency and confidence in classrooms enriched with their Art work

Miss Pidgen

Miss Pidgen will be leaving us on Friday 18th November. She is going on to a different job area. This will be a great opportunity for her and a chance to use a different skill set. Miss Pidgen will be missed at Mousehold by children, staff and families. Nothing is ever too much trouble for her. We wish Miss Pidgen the very best in her new line of work.
