Newsletter 10th May 2024

Dear Parents and Carers,

I have had the pleasure of spending more time in classes this week and looking at children’s books. Their progress is documented through photos, work, pictures and quotes from the children. Remember that you can see examples of the things we do on the school Facebook page and on the WEDUC app. They really do have such wonderful experiences and every day they make memories to last forever.

Warmer Weather

Please send your child to school with a sun hat every day. We also need you to have applied sun cream before bringing them into school. Thanks for your co-operation.

Job Vacancy

We are looking to appoint a Midday Supervisor to join our team and support the children during lunchtime. If this is something you may be interested in, please speak to Mrs Holmes in the school office for further details.

Annual Parent Survey

We would really appreciate if all parents and carers could take the time to complete the parent/carer survey on the link below. We really appreciate your input on how we can better support your children and the local community.

Attendance at Mousehold Infant and Nursery School

We have a celebration assembly each Friday afternoon where we share children’s achievements with everyone. As part of this assembly, we congratulate the class with the highest overall attendance for that week. The class with the highest attendance in Key Stage 1 receives ‘Top Dog’ to take to their classroom for the week. The class with the highest attendance in Reception receives ‘Top Cat’.

Our whole school attendance target is 96%. Current whole school attendance is 93.97%.

Top Dog – this week the highest attendance for Key Stage 1 goes to Robin class with 100%.

Top Cat – this week the highest attendance for Reception goes to Chaffinch class with 91.67%.

Important Reminder about Punctuality

The classroom doors open at 08:40am and registration is at 08:50am. Lessons start immediately after registration. If your child is not here before 08:50am they will be missing vital learning activities. We ask that if you are arriving late, you come to the office and sign your child in. We require you to state a reason for being late to school.
