Newsletter 5th July 2024

Dear Parents and Carers,

Well done to our Year 2 children for their excellent Samba performances to parents and carers. It was a wonderful moment to see the children play as a class team, with such confidence and great ability.

We are looking forward to seeing parents and carers at the Year 1 ukulele performances on Thursday 11/7/24 this will be a real treat.

Next week is transition week where Year 2 children will be spending time at George White meeting their new teachers and spending time in their new classes. At Mousehold we will also be doing transition across the week, where our Year 1 and Reception children will be spending time meeting there new teachers in their new classrooms. Next years Reception children will also be joining us for stay and play sessions across the week.

Change to PE kit for next year

From September, we would like to see a return to a slightly more formal PE kit, as some children are arriving on PE days in clothes and shoes that are not appropriate or safe.

The PE Kit will be as follows:

A plain white T-shirt

Shorts, leggings or jogging bottoms in either plain dark blue, plain dark grey or plain black

Jumper or hoodie in either plain dark blue, plain dark grey or plain black OR they can just wear their red school jumper or cardigan

Trainers or plimsolls – sandals are not suitable footwear for a PE session

On allocated PE days (to be confirmed for the next academic year), children can come to school in their PE kit for the day, but the above criteria needs to be followed. Thanks for your co-operation.

New Classes

We will be informing children who are in our current Reception and Year 1 classes about their new class and new teacher in their school report, which we will be sending home with them on Tuesday 9th July.

A reminder if the finalised class names and structure will be:
