We have many parents who help us in school on a regular basis. They share books with the children, help with craft work, cooking, sewing and on the computers as well as assisting with daily tasks such as sharpening pencils and cutting paper.
Parents also accompany classes on walks onto Mousehold Heath and to places of local interest. Any time you may be able to spend helping in the school will be appreciated. Please contact your child’s teacher or the Headteacher if you are interested. Grandparents are also very welcome.
Each term we arrange consultations for parents to discuss children’s progress with class teachers. If there is any other matter concerning your child which you need to discuss, please contact your child’s teacher to arrange a convenient time after school hours.
The Friends of Mousehold Infant and Nursery School is an active organisation to which parents and carers automatically belong when their children join the school and Nursery. We organise both fund raising and social events for children and adults. We have organised some very successful events including barn dances, discos, Christmas parties, 50/50 clothes sales, Bingo evenings and Easter and Summer Fayres.
We are always interested to hear from parents and carers about the kind of events they would like to see. If you would like to be actively involved, please let us know by telling your child’s teacher. We would be delighted to see you at the regular meetings and events held at the school.
Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting is held in the Autumn term when we are always looking for fresh faces to join us. Last year was an exciting and busy year for the association in which we raised a great deal of money and held many wonderful events for the children.
Committee members are elected at Annual General Meetings. The current chairperson is Dawn Furness who can be contacted via the school office. Please do get involved, we always welcome fresh ideas and help.
